Momio is all about having fun! To keep it a safe, friendly place for everyone, there are a few simple rules we all need to follow:
Be nice
Treat others kindly! that's the true Momio spirit!😊 Bullying, name-calling, being patronising, attacking someone or being hateful have no place on Momio, because that kind of behaviour only makes others feel sad. Don't annoy others on purpose, and don't spam, it doesn't help anyone and only makes you look bad.
Keep your password secret
Your password is like a key! If you give it away, you could lose your momio forever 😟 Never share it with anyone, not even your best friend, because no one else has any reason to log in to your momio. Sometimes people you don't know will try to trick you into sharing your password by promising great things, like free sapphires. Those promises aren't real, so stay alert! You must never ask for anyone else's password or log in to someone else's momio. If someone asks you to, say no and report them.
Think before you post
Momio is a place for kids, so everything on Momio must be appropriate for children to see.
What's not OK?
Some things simply don't belong on Momio. Anything of a sexual nature is strictly forbidden. Never encourage violence, self-harm or eating disorders, and never promote smoking, drugs or alcohol. When talking about mental illness, disabilities or death, please be extra careful not to hurt anyone's feelings. You can talk about religion and politics, but you're not allowed to pressure others to join your side. And even for a good cause, please don't post pictures of suffering animals or people.
Be careful with pictures!
Other people can save the pictures you post and keep them forever, so think carefully before you share!
-
Ask yourself: "Is this a picture I really want others to see forever?"
-
Never post pictures of other people without their permission.
-
Everyone in a picture must always have their clothes on.
Breaking the rules has consequences
If you break the rules, you can get a warning, a time-out or a ban. In the worst cases, your momio can even be deleted along with all the sapphires, diamonds, Momio Plus days, animos and items you've collected.
Talk to your parents
Tell your parents you're using Momio, show them around and explain what you can do here. Talk with them about what you're allowed to post.
Always get your parents' permission before sharing any personal information, such as your address, phone number or social media accounts and before meeting up with anyone you've met on Momio. Even with permission, only ever share personal information in private chat, never in posts for everyone to see, as that reaches too many momios and is far too risky.
Other important information
Kids only!
Momio is a place for kids, so grown-ups aren't allowed! Everyone must be under 18, unless they're one of Jack's helpers (a moderator), a Momio Designer, an SMA, a Momio employee or an official Momio partner. Parents may create a momio to see what Momio is all about, but shouldn't actively use it.
Write in English only
Momio has several servers around the world. This is our global server, where everyone writes in English, no other languages are allowed, including in chat. We also have local servers for Poland, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Germany, so if you'd prefer to chat in your own language, there may be a server just for you!
Don't promise to buy things for others
Never promise to buy anyone anything that involves real money, and report anyone who does, it's risky and the chance of being cheated is high. If you'd like to gift a friend Momio Plus or a diamond or sapphire top-up, talk to your parents first, and if they agree, arrange it with your friend face to face, not on Momio.
Your momio is yours only
You can't give away or share your momio. Each momio can only have one owner.
We sleep at night
Momio closes every night so momios can get their sleep. During this time, Momio can't be used at all.
Changing your password
You can change your password anytime in your profile.
Deleting your momio or its content
If you no longer want to use Momio, you can delete your momio: go to your profile, then Settings, and choose "Delete account." You'll confirm by entering your password. If you only want certain things deleted or changed and can't do it yourself, contact us at support@momio.me and we'll help. If you don't log in for 24 months, we may delete your momio to keep Momio free of abandoned accounts.
