CSAE DECLARATION

- Policy for the Protection Of Children and Minors

Momio.me is committed to creating a safe and positive online environment for all users, especially children and minors. We have developed this policy to outline our commitment to preventing and addressing any instances of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any activity that endangers the well-being of children.

SCOPE

This policy applies to all users of the Momio app and website, regardless of age. It specifically addresses our measures to protect children and minors from CSAE.

DEFINITIONS

  • Child/Minor: For the purposes of this policy, a child or minor is defined as any person under the age of 18.

  • Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): This includes any activity that involves the sexual abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of a child, including but not limited to the production, distribution, possession, or viewing of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), online grooming, and any other form of sexual misconduct involving a child.

OUR COMMITMENT

  • Prevention:

    • Text content is filtered using a whitelist.

    • Automated image scanning detects harmful/prohibited content, with human review of flagged images. User reports are also used.

    • In-app reporting mechanisms are available for all user generated content.

    • All uploaded videos are reviewed by trained human staff before they are allowed to be published on the platform.

  • Detection:

    • AI-powered systems, alongside our proprietary tools, are used to scan for and flag potentially harmful content.

    • Human Moderators trained to identify and respond to CSAE.

    • Collaboration with law enforcement.

  • Response:

    • Immediate removal of CSAM and harmful content.

    • Banning users involved in CSAE.

    • Reporting suspected CSAE to law enforcement.

    • Full cooperation with investigations.

  • Collaboration:

    • We collaborate with local law enforcement.

    • We collaborate with child protection organizations like Save the Children.

REPORTING CSAE

Report suspected CSAE through the in-app reporting mechanism under each post or by contacting our support team through support@momio.me.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

We encourage parents to be involved and provide resources on online safety. Our "Parents & Safety" page offers an overview of how Momio works and our safety routines. This page is easily accessible from Momio's homepage.

We also recommend that parents create their own accounts to assess whether Momio is a good fit for their child. During account creation, if the age entered is 18 or older, the user will be prompted to indicate if they are a parent. If they select "yes," the account will be registered as a parent account. If they select "no," they will be unable to complete the account creation process.

For users registering as minors (under the age required to give consent), a parental email must be provided. A parent’s page will be created, and the parent will receive a link to this page via email. From this page, the parent can grant or withdraw consent for the child’s account.

DATA PRIVACY

Our privacy policy outlines data collection, use, and sharing, in compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws.

POLICY UPDATES

This policy will be reviewed and updated regularly. Changes will be posted here.
